Then there's Oh my God so Beautiful most Beautifulest but tough but so model-gorgeous Templeton who's also super tough but kind of really isn't at all. She never expected to have to fight for her daughter's life she had always known that human beings were terrifying monsters.

Fantastic… had me glued to the pages and I didn’t want to put it down… so gripping and suspenseful and wonderfully paced… A brilliant, nail-biting and highly recommended read. Hopefully I've left enough clues to whet your interest in this book, the first that I've read by this author. He has also written three ebook novellas set during Winter's FBI days: Presumed Guilty , Hush Little Baby and Open Your Eyes. The ratings/reviews displayed here may not be representative of every listing on this page, or of every review for these listings.

Not a murder-mystery, or a who-dunnit, in that (as with all serial killer books) the killer is obviously not a character we know, it's more about how Winter figures out who the unsub is when all of London is the suspect pool. His wit is razor sharp, even though his IQ is (probably and by his own grudging admission) lower than Da Vinci's. Home to William Golding, Sylvia Plath, Kazuo Ishiguro, Sally Rooney, Tsitsi Dangarembga, Max Porter, Ingrid Persaud, Anna Burns and Rachel Cusk, among many others, Faber is proud to publish some of the greatest novelists from the early twentieth century to today. No missing or damaged pages, no creases or tears, no underlining or highlighting of text, and no writing in the margins. To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average.

Winter selbst ist eine unglaublich gut durchdachte Figur mit genügend Fehlern, um trotz seiner Intelligenz und überdurchschnittlichen Beobachtungsgabe glaubwürdig zu wirken.

The haunting imagery from its pages will undoubtedly remain etched in my psyche for a considerable time, but I must credit the author for delivering such a chilling experience.I love that the author has consistent storylines to his extreme horror books, it’s not just graphic horror for extreme sake.

now to me this story had no character development, no depth, no nuance which is the exact opposite of them.

I'll say this: it was all too obvious it was written by a man (iykyk), and some of the inner monolog of our FMC had me rolling my eyes. These 4 or 5-star reviews represent the opinions of the individuals who posted them and do not reflect the views of Etsy. The villain in Broken Dolls is quite underdeveloped (perhaps intentionally, like in No One Rides for Free, to display that some people are simply born evil and don’t need a traumatic history to explain their behavior), and the progression was pretty predictable (which isn’t necessarily a bad thing if you haven’t read a lot of extreme horror content, or you’re new to the home invasion trope). I had to laugh at a few incidences in the story where he is told to do one thing or that he couldn't do that and it literally goes through one ear and straight out of the other.
