I think the worst bit of Die Trying would have to be the random sexual advances none of them really made sense and it kind of ruined the story for me. As good as the premise is after a couple of deductions from Reacher about his fellow "victim," the most exciting thing in these pages was Reachers mental maths to keep his mind active. And now comes the but, I think, and we shall see, whether I might find these books becoming a little formulaic. I kind of want a little bit of a follow up so I can find out exactly how it ends and how all the characters get on. It meant that as he pulled into his secluded slot behind his professional building the prelude ahead of Bach's B Minor Fugue still had thirty-eight seconds left to run.

The prose and writing in this book is better than the first one but stilled the pacing felt a bit more slow. And maybe some kind of sure knowledge there'll be a bunch of people looking to get you back soon as they can.
